Solange Azagury-Partridge

Working in collaboration with designer and jeweller, Solange Azagury-Partridge’s dramatic interior concept, Studio Mackereth created the accompanying interior architecture for nine stores globally, including New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Hong Kong and London.

Described by the celebrated fashion writer Suzy Menkes as ‘a surreal Alice in Wonderland’ the aim was to create a new take on a fantasy, grand English townhouse. The showrooms feature richly encrusted heritage plasterwork ceilings, velvet clad paneled walls in vivid emerald, ruby and gold and psychedelic Moroccan rugs designed by Azagury-Partridge herself. The bespoke, illuminated display cases and richly upholstered furniture ensured the showrooms evoked the atmosphere of theatrical salon. The Los Angeles store was the winner of The City of Beverly Hills Architectural Design Awards in 2011.
